| Bio | William Gilbert “Bill” Jones was born October 19, 1940 to Aubrey and Mary Marguerite (Hoban) Jones in Independence, Missouri. He returned to his Heavenly Father on June 11, 2020 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence at the age of 79.
He graduated from Van Horn High School in the class of 1958 and served in the US Army for a total of three years. Bill married Glenda L. Ireland on April 11, 1965 and to this union were born two children, Christie and David. He graduated from Rockhurst College in 1971 and worked as an accountant for the USDA for 33 years. Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Glenda L. Jones, his daughter Christie and her husband, Michael Kerr, his son, David and his wife, Brenda Williamson, and his 4 grandchildren, Trevor Falcone, Tyler Falcone, Andrew Falcone, and Hunter Jones.
Bill’s services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020. Visitation will be from 12-1:00pm with a service following at 1:00pm, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Interment with full honors will be at Swan Lake Cemetery.
