He is survived by his wife Terry Forbes; sons Clark (Christa), and Andy (Angie); grandson Drew Forbes and granddaughter Rylie Forbes; sister Shirley Phillips and sister-in-law Wendy Hill. Kenny lived his whole life in the Independence-Fairmount area. He attended Mt. Washington Grade School, Northeast Jr. High School, and graduated from the then new Van Horn High School in 1958. He has many friends from his school days that he cherished beyond belief. He excelled at all sports, including football and basketball in high school as well as softball and bowling all his life, all winning teams. He wouldn’t accept anything less. He has so many buddies that admired his talent and zeal for any game he played. He had to be the best. Kenny worked in floor covering for 45 years. The goal was to perform quality work. Anything less was not acceptable to him. He left in 1961 to join the army. He took a leave from his tour in Germany to return in April 1964 to marry Terry, his best friend of 65 years. They traveled to lovely, fun destinations ever since. Kenny enjoyed his monthly lunches at Kross’ with his many high school friends. Fond memories of his best friends Charlie Trail and Fred Coats meant so much to him. What a ride. No services are planned, and he will be buried with his family at Mt. Washington Cemetery. “LET’S ROLL”
