Laura Jean Yohe, 80 of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Private services will be held with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Laura was born November 15, 1939 in Independence, MO to William Chester and Elizabeth Katherine (Bunney) Matson and has been a lifelong area resident graduating from Van Horn High School. She had worked for Commerce Bank downtown Kansas City for over 20 years retiring as a data entry supervisor in 1987. She enjoyed socializing, playing cards and spending time with her family. Laura was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, and friend who will be greatly missed. She always had an amazing smile that lite up the room. She is survived by; her husband, John Yohe of the home; a daughter, Johnia Bagby and husband Christopher of Leawood, KS and a grandson, Matthew William Bagby. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William C. “Billy” Matson, Jr in 1954.
