| Bio | I have been married going on 52 years to a terrific guy when I married him and even better husband after all these years. We raised 4 sons who turned out to be terrific young men. (Can you tell I like the word "terrific" to describe "My Men"?) Our sons were raised in Blue Springs, MO, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Raleigh, North Carolina and Fort Worth, Texas. They tell us they enjoyed living in these different states, because they got to see and learn about the different cultures there. They have all gone to college and 3 of the 4 served 2 year missions for our church in Ecuador, Hawaii, and London South Mission. They have blessed us with 4 grandsons and 4 granddaughters and of course we spoil them rotten. They are the reason our hearts keep beating because we are doting grandparents. I have spent a lot of my life doing volunteer work and teaching our sons the importance of serving others. They are out on their own now and my heart smiles with joy every time they tell me they were out helping neighbors, strangers, and friends. I have worked with the youth a lot in my years since Van Horn and though I love working with the young boys, I have to admit that I love, love, love working with the young girls. Life has been good to me and my family. I treasure my church and my lifelong friends who have always been there for me and loved me through the years! |
