If you are reading this it means I have passed on to a better life, one with my Lord and Savior and one of peace, joy and relaxation (April 10, 2014). Sadly, I leave behind my wife of 53 years, Sherrill, three wonderful children, Kendra (David), Amy (Jon), and Mike (Mylissa); six special grandchildren, Christopher, Mary, Taylor, Mycah, Emy, and Miller. My parents, Charles and Irene, left this earth many years ago; and two siblings, Bob and Dorothy, predeceased me. My older sister, Betty, survives and we remained close these last years together. Also surviving are my sister-in-law Sue and her husband, Joe, their children and several nieces and nephews. I was in the first class to graduate from Van Horn High School. After four years in the Air Force I graduated from the University of Missouri at Rolla with a B.S. in Geology and was a field geologist for a consulting firm and retired as a geologist for KCPL. Episcopal Church of Redeemer, where I served as Junior Warden and on Vestry, was a constant presence in my life and brought me into the arms of our Lord. Services Saturday, April 26, at Church of the Redeemer, 7110 N State Route 9, Kansas City North. Visitation at 10 a.m. with services at 11; luncheon following.
