Bio     She was born on October 30th, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Beckham and Ola Swift. Kaye was a lifelong resident of Kansas City. She worked at Southwestern Bell in management until she retired in 1986. Kaye was never one to sit and be inactive. In the late 1990’s, she worked with her two sons at United Heating and Cooling until early 2020 when COVID affected everyone’s world. Kaye was an amazing cook and was featured in the Kansas City Star cooking section. She was one of the most creative chefs in the kitchen as she never used a cookbook. She made amazing dishes by trial and error and her taste buds were the ultimate judge for excellence. Kaye is survived by her two sons and their wives, Joe and Sharon Lambert and Jerry and Debbie Lambert; 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Alexandra Lambert, Sarah and Benjamin Carson, Rachael and Bradley Herman, Joseph Lambert, and Matthew and Andrew Lambert; and 11 grandchildren, Faith, Norah, Marley, Luke, Jake, Isaac, Connor, Kennedy, Dakota, Phoenix, and Nichole; Twin brother Ken Swift, and brother and his wife Bill and Nita Swift, and many nieces and nephews. Kaye was a proud mother and talked about her sons at every opportunity. Kaye loved holding her 11 great grandchildren. She always shared with them that Jesus loved them and would pray over them. Kaye’s whole life was about her love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her day was filled with sharing her faith in Jesus with whoever she came in contact with. Her smile and joyful spirit made her someone that people enjoyed being around. Kaye stepped into eternity and is awaiting all of her family and loved ones and we are longing for the day we will see her in the presence of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
