Bio | Dad will be missed by all that knew him. He was a great father, a great husband, a great brother, and a great bowler. He enjoyed life to the fullest and taught us all to chuckle at life.
Warren E. "Weinie" Johnson, 67, of Independence, MO, passed away Friday, June 9, 2006 at his home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Harmony Heights Baptist Church, 1701 Salem Drive, Independence, MO; he will be laid to rest with military honors in Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 12 at the church. Mr. Johnson was born May 7, 1939 in San Francisco, CA. He served his country honorably in the US Army and worked 31 years at Kansas City Southern Railroad retiring in 2001. He recently worked for Renzenberger Transportation. Mr. Johnson enjoyed sports and was an avid bowler accomplishing many 300 games and an 825 series. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey & Eleanor Johnson. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Kay Johnson; children, Tim Johnson, Kim Walker, Mike Johnson, Kenneth Moore and Jana Myers; brother, Lynn Johnson; several sister & brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many friends.
